Friends of Blue Dress Park is a collaborative project exploring legacy, bureaucracy, and shared resources. The project takes the form of a stewardship organization, using an informal board structure to oversees the legacy of Druecke’s christening of Blue Dress Park in June 2000.

In 2010, and 2021 for that matter, BDP remains a place of pure potential

Blue Dress Park is a slab of concrete on the corner of Holton and Resevoir in Milwaukee, WI. The project grew out of conversations between Sara Daleiden (MKE<->LAX) and Druecke, eventually involving dozens of board members and multiple initiatives in the process of defining and undertaking it’s mission.

Mission Statement: The Friends of Blue Dress Park explore underused, overlooked urban environments—Blue Dress Park spaces—in order to cultivate value in marginal public resources. The organization fosters creative and critical inquiry into relationships between cultural legacy, social identity, and public space.
